    Fahrenheit to Celsius

This thread shows someone saying that the units do change to Celsius, but the F still stays... glitch? http://www.998cc.org/forum/fz1-general-discussion/12520-potential-issue-2.html

    I Love Useless Information :D

I have for a fact, sneezed with eyes open - and it's not easy! My 35 year old oven clock died at exactly 4:20 - does that mean I also am fictitious? I refuse to believe the one about chocolate, but if eating some bug's legs to get to the good stuff is true, I #AINTCARE ! I hope there...

What rear suspension setup would you suggest?

If I could ride like you, I could probably notice mine fading too!!

    BMW Scooter Dual Horn Installation

I got a good pair of PIAA's but using just the harness on the '01, I only attached one horn. I would like to add the other but need to do the wiring. I think they are supposed to go in parallel, not in sequence. big improvement over the crappy whiner horn....!

What rear suspension setup would you suggest?

Well that's not very positive..... my recommendation is to not try to guess. Go to a shop that will adjust the suspension with you (and passenger) on the bike. A good shop can tell you if the system can't be adjusted to completely work. When I had this done (in prep for trackday) - the...

    feeling humble

Very cool - but reality sets in when it's got such major mods - no way these tricks can be done on a 'standard' bike. That being said - DAYUM!

    Adjustable Windscreen(s)

OK - well I laughed about it... :) I thought it was pretty funny sarcasm! Have to say it worked pretty well! Some were concerned about weight being too high, but honestly, on a 550 lb beast, I didn't even notice.

    Adjustable Windscreen(s)

Yeah... Joke all you want.... The big Velcro strap for the bags wouldn't fit under the hardcase mounting assembly, and I also didn't have the right support rods to hold the bags in place anyway... :) but it worked great on my 2100 mile 7-day journey!

Former Fz6 rider, looking at getting Fz1, advice/help????

Buying a used vehicle: in Texas, you have to pay tax on either the sale price or the BlueBook value, whichever is GREATER. Even if they actually sold it for a dollar. Maybe your sale document reflects that?

I wonder if that applies to Fazers. Since the reflectors are so huge, and nearly touch, I would say that could never look like a car's headlights... Unlike some bikes where the headlights are separated by a lot of fairing.... The appearance of my headlights from a distance almost looke like one...

    Adjustable Windscreen(s)

If you want to block 100% of the wind - time to get a goldwing or some land-barge with a few square yards of plastic in front....

    Adjustable Windscreen(s)

I bought the rifle screen which reduced the wind hitting me in the chest - nice for long rides. What I didn't expect was the improvement I got putting the laminar lip on in addition. the laminar lip had a dramatic effect of smoothing out the air. It eliminated a lot of buffeting that came from...

Pyro's Twisted Texas Hill Country Tour '13

I'm calling ahead for added pie stock for when we get there! - By the way - I have the entire Hill Country Motel reserved - that's about 16 spots. That would be SOME GROUP to be rattlin' the hills Sunday morning eh? (and eating pie the night before!) :sport12:

I think fighting the wobble has something to do with making it worse, which is difficult if you are having to maintain a direction in the mean time. But you have to be zipping along at pretty unsafe (on the street) speeds to induce that problem. It also has a lot to do with the tightness of the...

FZ1 - more comfortable. Lower-end power. Weight means less corrections. Get the suspension tuned to your body. Don't worry, but control yourself. Any bike you ride will fall in a corner in gravel so watch out. It only takes a few square inches of sand to screw up a good ride. Fz1 was my first...
