    Hooligans cost effective?

Is that a DRZ-400SM? I guess you may be right about the whole super-moto family as well. Should they be called naked/streetfighters instead of hooligan bikes?

    Hooligans cost effective?

I've always been a fan of the naked bikes, Fz6, Fz1, SV650 for the look. I don't like the look of plastics. The Tuono V4R was the bike I lusted after for the longest time, till I went and sat on it. I may be just a little too big for the bike and again wish that I was a smaller Italian...

Riding the FZ1 To Its Full Capability

Correct me if I'm wrong, please. A stock Fz1 is basically putting out the same power if not a little more power (hp/torque) as an R6 and other 600 supersports. The performance times the Fz1 is faster than some years of the R6 and the same if not a little slower than the GSXR's, CBR, and ZX's in...

    Advice from Dirt Bike Riders

http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/us/en/index.html?content=http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/us/en/bike/model_overview.html Like the GS models and have been thinking about a dual sport for the next bike for awhile, but was wondering if any of the off road bikes could be ok. I was at the dealer today...

    Advice from Dirt Bike Riders

I'm 6'4" and 240 at the moment. I'm not super strong but I'm not a weakling either. I'm aware it's quite a workout off road riding.

    Seattle to LA

I love the Malibu Canyons. So much fun. Decker Canyon and Encinal Canyon were some of my favs as well as Mulholland Highway. Were you there on a weekend day with the camera guys out and the guys in full track suits. Glad you had an awesome time and made it home safe

    HEL SS Brake lines

I had the guys at the shop do my install. I know it's relatively easy, but I kinda made a promise at one point not to tinker on anything that if it fails, I might die. Even when the shop did it after a day or two I was getting brake fade in the front, took it back in and they had to bleed the...

Traded in my Gen II, and got SCREWED.

Sounds like a possible moral of the story is never assume a new bike purchased from a dealer is really a completely new bike. Now I know to ask if the bike was purchased at auction compared to if it was shipped direct from Yamaha. Sorry you had to go through all that J

I agree with you on the fraud part. I agree with you on not wanting to believe that Yamaha would allow such behavior. I just didn't agree with you on the distance of dealers. The dealership I worked with in Maryland was very professional. I hope J gets it all sorted out for the best.

Traded in my Gen II, and got SCREWED.

I don't know if I could agree with you on the concept of long distance dealers don't give a crap. My first bike, '08 Fz6, I got from an ebay auction dealer from Maryland. The bike showed up perfectly detailed like new as described and even had a box over the bike as it was strapped onto a...

Traded in my Gen II, and got SCREWED.

Out of curiosity does it seem like the frame was damaged or was this a situation of maybe a tip over when shipping. To be honest with you, I've been looking around at R1's and that price is a pretty amazing deal for a brand new bike considering they are going for approx $15k. You traded in...

Traded in my Gen II, and got SCREWED.

Sorry to hear that. I can't believe a Yamaha dealership would do that. I can't believe Yamaha would sell a bike with a crack in the frame. Do you know the law on disclosure in the state you bought the bike from.

That's really too bad. It is a beautiful bike and I love the black.

When you purchase from dealership don't you get a factory warranty that starts from date of original purchase?

    Advice from Dirt Bike Riders

You know I didn't even think about it being a dual sport. That would be cool to have because then I wouldn't have to truck/trailer the bike there, I could just pack up and ride there. Also how difficult is it to switch either the DRZ400 or a YZ450 back and forth between a supermoto set up...
