    Suggestions on a new Helmet

Thread resurrection ... The OP started this thread on September the 8th of last year. On September the 29th he posted this: I guess it was all just Teal Deer ... :p

    January 2015 BOTM - winner - brooker81

That shot is magazine worthy. It could easily be used in a sales brochure for the bike. At a minimum, I'm sure it will grace someone's computer screen as a background picture. Congrats on a well deserved win, for a well composed photo. (And in my best Emperor Palpatine voice ... 'We shall...

2015 FZ1 Forum North America Meet Up

Bummer. I'm on weekends for pretty much all of those dates. But not to worry, it's only a 17 hour ride to Durango, so ... I'll just see how things fall. Once y'all decide on a date that works for everyone else, I'll see if I can't swing it. I should be able make something work.;)

How do you winterize your motorcycle?

Yeah, I feel for you folks with the single digit temps and black ice. We wouldn't know what to do with that kind of weather down here - as it is, the city SHUTS DOWN with even the slightest amount of ice on the roads. I'm not just talking bikes, I mean all motor vehicle traffic. People...

    Which 530 chain?

I have been using DID chains, and they seem to hold up well. I recently replaced the chain on the FZ1 and went with a DID 530 ZVMX Super Street Series X'ring Sealed Chain from Sprocket Center. Here's a link for the chain on their site. It appears that the 124 link would run you $190 US$...

How do you winterize your motorcycle?

This makes me chuckle because of all the 'fair weather' riders down in these parts. I know that most of you northern folk would love to have our current weather conditions, yet the large majority of the locals here think it's too cold, or too wet to ride when we get a little taste of 'wet...

What is this 'winter', of which you speak? ... ;)

2015 FZ1 Forum North America Meet Up

I am interested in this as well. So far for 2015, I am planning to hit The Dragon again, finish what I started in Maine - without having the bike flooded this time, and the big new trip will be Glacier National Park. I'm pretty sure I'll be hitting Colorado Springs again for the annual...

    Skunked dog any suggestions ?

Humn, good info in here. And here I was thinking you were gonna have to shave the dog bald. :D

    Chain and sprocket suggestions/help

I ordered the wrong part number for the front sprocket. Sorry folks, I hope no one followed after what I did. The other parts appear to be correct. Correct part number for the front sprocket should be 3CV-17460-00-00 SPROCKET,DRIVE 17T $21.20

    2015 FZ1 Released

At first glance, the specs seem identical. Looks like they just rounded up on the fuel capacity.

    My new TWINS

Wow, lol! I saw this thread on the front page, and started looking at it, only to realize that it was nine pages long. I then noticed the date of the posts! Fast forward to the end, and they're already big enough for pocket bikes! Your race team will be on a track in no time! :D

    Removing cover over front sprocket

Sounds like I'm gonna have to get a manual so I can look at what you guys are looking at. ;) I need to get one soon anyway, it's getting close to valve lash check/adjustment time. Sorry about all the sidebar in your thread, f1faniam, I'll be quiet now. :o

No worries there from me, I agree that you are probably right about this. I actually thought about that after I'd posted up.

    Chain and sprocket suggestions/help

I'm right there with you. I have about 23K miles on the bike and just ordered a chain and sprockets a couple of nights ago. I ordered a DID 530 ZVMX Super Street Series X'ring Sealed Chain, 122 Links, Gold Plated Links - SKU# DA530ZVMX-122-GG. The best price I found was at Sprocket Center for...

    Removing cover over front sprocket

I don't have the manual, and did the work the best way I could by looking at it. While I can't speak for anyone else, I am generally very careful and methodical about my wrenching, hence the boot and ball joint were never in danger of being harmed by my hands. To each his own I suppose...
