Those look pretty good and all things considered not that pricey. Good pants easily cost as much (with same level of protection) and don't look as nice as jeans, if you want casual look. I'd wear those!

D'oh! I know loads of people have used Q2s on track and enough have gone to Q3s and say they're as good if not better (though apparently not flippable, while Q2s unofficially were). Have you used both Qs and DRCs? If so, what's better about DRCs?

They're good, Lonney. To be honest though, if track day wasn't part of the equation, I'd stick with Pilot Road 2. The one minor place where Z8 feels *worse* is on steel bridges. It grabs edges. I don't feel that it does anything better on street than PR2.
