A bit late to the game, in my opinion. Unless they can make production version *compete* with Ninja 300 and Honda's upcoming 300cc bike.
Love the look of the concept though and would love to ride it on a tight technical track :D
Another vote for part-out. Very easy to pull Givi stuff off. I wouldn't bother removing the tail to pull those little brackets out.
For your reference: I got my 07 just over 2 years ago with 8k miles on it in mint shape for $5k in NY. It had Watsen turn indicators and integrated tail. The...
Scorpion hands down! Why? Ask if anyone else offers lifetime warranty and guarantee that the can will not need re-packing. Besides that, it looks and sounds great! Very happy with mine.
Another vote for PR2 here. I got over 13k miles out of a set, on my FZ1. Strangely, the front got to the wear bars before the rear did!.
I went with Metzeler Z8 for my current set, but can't speak for longevity yet.. only about 1k miles on them so far. Grip is very good, but they tend to grab...
Those look pretty good and all things considered not that pricey. Good pants easily cost as much (with same level of protection) and don't look as nice as jeans, if you want casual look.
I'd wear those!
Oh and be sure to watch the videos (included on DVD) and don't be frustrated when your change doesn't go as smoothly as the one in vid. Remember the guy's done it like a thousand times!!
Good man! Yes, the front axle takes a 19mm hex. I got an 19mm hex socket from my hardware store for around ~$10 I think (was about 5 years ago, so can't remember exact price).
There are some tricks out there (like using spark plug socket or threading 2 nuts onto a bolt and locking them...
D'oh! I know loads of people have used Q2s on track and enough have gone to Q3s and say they're as good if not better (though apparently not flippable, while Q2s unofficially were).
Have you used both Qs and DRCs? If so, what's better about DRCs?
They're good, Lonney. To be honest though, if track day wasn't part of the equation, I'd stick with Pilot Road 2. The one minor place where Z8 feels *worse* is on steel bridges. It grabs edges. I don't feel that it does anything better on street than PR2.
Any recommendations for suspension service? The 05 R6 I picked up.. I've no doubt that fork/shock have never been serviced. Stock springs are very close to what I need for my weight, so I just want to get fresh oil in the legs and service rear shock before next season.
Can anyone recommend a...
