I would check for any kinks in the cable routing as well as lubing it up. For an 03', who knows when it was lubed last. As for the shuddering, try some Sea Foam in the gas and run it for a few miles. The carbs may need a cleaning and also synched up.
I'm not really up on all this 3d printing stuff but I do know that they are expensive pieces of machinery, and small items take hours to complete. Unless they have come up with speedier machines, I can't see them replacing the methods of manufacturing that are being used now. Then again, I may...
Welcome Marshall, and congrats on the new ride. I've heard about those straight Florida roads! Won't get rid of those chicken strips that way! LOL. I guess track days are a good option but sometimes a bit pricy. In any case, congrats and welcome.
Welcome and congrats on the new ride. The 16T front sprocket from the Gen1 is indeed a direct fit for the 2nd Gen bikes. I would definitely buy a OEM Stock front sprocket and get the new washer as well. I'm sure that the 2 black keys are the original keys and the red one is probably a copy the...
I've been using the Yamaha Semi Synthetic oil on my 09' for the last two changes and have been happy with it. I do however, notice some notchiness in the shifting as I get close to 3k.
I've seen this advertised elsewhere and was really thinking about getting one. Just lots of wires to route with little room. Thanks for posting this one Dennis!
Glad that all is still going well with you and the family Arnold. Yes, time slips away quickly so we have to make the best of things now. I'll be out this weekend so stay tuned!
I'm glad you had a great day on the road bud. They were talking all night about the rain today which made me stay home...……….Of course the friggin sun is still shining!!! Oh well, next weekend looks to be good at this point. Great shots as usual by the way!
Yep, I went on Partshark and that's about right, $345.00 I think I'm still going to get it and replace it this winter. At the same time I'll order a 16T front sprocket as well. Thanks for all the info Mike.
