    Northern Ontario new guy..

That explains the remaining snow on the ground. The only place with snow here is where it was piled up over the winter. If you come to Sudbury by going down Hwy. 11 and then Hwy 17, you would be driving right by my house. I'm just before Wahnapitae on Hwy 17.

    Another newbie

Welcome to the forum. In 2006 they called it Shift Red, but as far as I know it is the same red as the 2008 & 2010 models.

    Clock time Reset itself?

Sounds like the starter is taking too much juice. I would take the starter off and get it tested or rebuilt.

    First ride of the year!

Nice to know that I wasn't the only one going out for the first ride of the year. Your temp was probably higher than mine but I took my toy out for it's first ride of the year. I was out on my sled yesterday for a ride,, and when the temp hit 11C (52F) today, I decided to take my FZ for a ride...

    Tail Bag

I use the Cortech Dryver Tail Bag. It is a small hard bag, so not a lot of storage room, but it doesn't stop you from swinging your leg over it. I hope that this will get you to the site, Cortech :: Luggage :: Dryver Tail Bag.

    Testing Top Speed FZ1

Up here in Ontario they have passed a law called the Stunt Driving Law. Anything 50km (31 mph) an hour or more above the speed limit is considered Stunt Driving, meaning you lose your license for a minimum of 3 months, your vehicle is impounded for 10 days (minimum), and a fine starting at...

    INSTALLING REAR BLINKERS (help)

It looks like the wiring that you're trying to get to is shown in your first picture right in front of the rear tail light bulb. They look to be plug in style ends and are red in color. But you may have to loosen your liscence plate holder to get enough slack to work with them.

    not idleing when hot

My guess would be that since the battery was dead, there wasn't enough juice left to run the fuel pump and supply enough spark to keep it running. Once you pushed it enough to give a slight charge to the battery, then it could run. As for the fan running, as soon as I turn off my key, my fan...
