    Cracked frame on 07 FZ1

To my great surprise I found out yesterday that the frame of my 07 FZ1 has cracked. On the right side of the bike exactly in the middle of de welding. Completely around cracked. Luckely the bike is registered since july 2009, so still factory warranty on it. I've red on the forum that more...

    Lava or Black

My first thought was lava for sure, but looking at your bike a couple of times, made me change my mind to black. A friend of mine here in the Netherlands has the same colorscheme as your bike, but a little different. With this bike I would go for a lava bellypan, because this would really...

FZ1 Riders Show us your baby!!

When I bought my FZ1, she was all stock and 4 months old with 760km (+/- 475 miles) on the odo meter. She looked like this. And now, 11 months later, she not really stock anymore and the odo meter is on 16.000km (+/- 10.000 miles). Done on my FZ1 : Yamaha bellypan Leo Vince GP...

Finally got my 16t front sprocket installed, chose a original one from a genI FZ1. So now I'm running 16/47 insteat of 17/45. And I absolutely love the way the bike rides now, acceleration is much better and rev's on highway travels are still within reason (would like 500 rpm lower but that's...

    Std Gen II gearing?

With a stock FZ1 GenII that speed at that RPM is correct, so your gearing is more then likely to be stock. However, is you change the gearing, speed on your speedometer does not change to the rpm's, it's just that your actual speed is then lower. SO check with a GPS or so, to know for sure...

2009 2010 FZ1 can Map fuel injection without Power Commander

Don't know whether it's possible to do detailed changes to the ECU on the European FZ1. But I do know what my specialist did when my FZ1 was on the dyno for the first time, completely stock, he went into the dashboard system en changed per cilinder some numbers regarding CO etc. After that my...

    Better mileage for FZ1??

Don't, as far as I know the numbers represent the same thing everywhere.

    Better mileage for FZ1??

In the Netherlands we have as minimum 95 octane at the fuelstations and usually the option to use 98 octane. If you go to Germany for Shell V-Power, the octane is even 102. I always use octane 95 since more is useless with a stock engine. But 95 octane is also what Yamaha Europe advices...

    Better mileage for FZ1??

In Holland we work with kilometers and liters insteat of miles and gallons, so I need to calculate my most recent numbers. Last weekend did a tour with my wife on the back, so most of the time easy riding, but occasionally rev it up till 10.000+ rpm. We did on one tank 135,5 miles and needed...

    D616 and another tire?

I have Pilot Power 2CT in front and Pilot Road 2 on the back. I love this combination, more then enough grip to drag your knee at 90 mph, and because of the Road 2 on the back I still get about 7.500 miles out of this set of tyres.

    fastest you've had your fz1???

Completely stock and with about 1.800 km's on it (1.119 miles), so it was not fully on power yet, my FZ1 Fazer did 278 kph (172,8 mph) on the dyno on the speedo of the bike itself. This speed was exactly when the rev-limiter kicked in. Later with only Leo Vince SBK EVOII Titanium and further...

Thanks to the nice welcome! I will have pic's of the exhaust on my bike tonight, just installed it yesterday and made a few pic's, but didn't upload them yet. Dragging the knee on my FZ1 took me a while to change my technique a bit. The little groundclearance is quite a problem. At first I...

'08 FZ 1 LeoVince GPPRO EVOII SS

That sounds good holding back such bikes, up to now I've done that with fireblades, R1's, GSXR1000 all after 200 kph (125 mph) they come by, not before! But I've the same problem with the centerstand support from Leo Vince, and haven't found a solution for this. Do you?
