    06 TPS adjustment.

It's the harsh hesitation felt when rolling on the throttle from a fully closed position. This was most noted on the 06 FZ1's, but any second gen bike might be affected due to the fact that they all have a "fuel cut" mapped into their ECU's from the factory for emissions requirements. The snatch...

    06 TPS adjustment.

Not trying to discourage you, v-petn, but there may be something else going on with some bikes that still exhibit a hesitation in throttle application, especially if an FCE has already been installed. It's very likely the G2 Throttle Tamer won't help much since it still has no real affect on...

    06 TPS adjustment.

I did this very thing way back in 07 on my 06 model, as well as added a G2 Throttle Tamer, plus I removed of ALL of the throttle slack. I've been happy with mine, but can't make a comparison with an 06 that's had an FCE installed. -Roger

    06 oil filter choices?

I have run only the Hiflofiltro HF303, Yamaha R1 spec filters, and the Mobil 1, M1 110 on my 06. Both are longer, and have greater capacity than the stock FZ1 filters, but the same overall diameter. The trick to using these is owning the right oil filter wrench... ...my 2 cents. -R

what fz1 next generation need(just my opinion but I'm sure!)

Just my preference, but I'd like to see something like a bit smaller 1200 to 1400cc version of the 2nd gen V-max combined with some of the best features of the 2nd gen FZ1. Better seat, more torque, unique styling with a larger fuel capacity. Racey looking, comfortable, nice handling street rod...

    Michelin Pilot Road 3

I also started on the Dunlop D221's, and didn't realize just how bad they were until I put a Pilot Power on the front. Huge gain in confidence, but they don't last long. Since then I've been on PP2's and they haven't let me down. Extremely good wear characteristics, and stick to the road very...

    Some handlebar suggestions (Rizoma risers)

I sold my Rizoma 60mm risers and bar end sliders. No longer available, but I still have a Tag Metals T2 gold mini hi tapered aluminum bar for sale. Used, pre-drilled for controls, but in pretty nice condition, just normal wear, never crashed! If anyone is interested in them just PM me. PayPal...

    Some handlebar suggestions (Rizoma risers)

Guys, I have a TAG Metals, gold, T2 moto-x style #1005 bar that fits the Rizoma Taper risers for sale. It's in lightly used condition with some very light scratches around the area between the riser mounts. Most likely where I touched it with the bike key a couple of times. The bar is VERY...

    The FZ1 engine whistle/whine sound...what is it?

I hear the whine from the timing chain area on mine. I've listened to it closely with a stethoscope to be sure. It's completely normal, to the best of my knowledge, and has sounded the same with the other FZ1's I've heard running. Talking about timing chain whine ...you should listen to it on...

    Is the FZ1 for me?

Or, you could do what I did. I test rode the wee-strom ...even brought it home to meet the wife. I smiled the whole time it was in my possession ...and then I went and rode a new, 2nd gen FZ1. That thing scared me so badly that I just had to have it. I was bit so badly ...everything about the...

    IMPORTANT!!! Air pressures!!!

You know, the air we have today just isn't as good as it use to be. It's worn out from being constantly recycled I guess. :confused0024:
