Looking for an FZ1 in washington.

Bummer. I'm in Oregon, and I listed mine here in the classifieds a month ago. Clean, stock 2009, less than 1k miles. Maybe you missed it at $5,750? It is selling Saturday, but you know how that goes! I'll email you if things go sideways on the deal.

    California Licensing?

I have a totally stock 2009 FZ1, less than 1,000 miles, purchased and licensed in Oregon (see classifieds for a great deal!). I have a potential buyer located in California. Is anybody aware of any fun, extra-special requirements in California that would complicate his registration and...

    Fs: 2009 fz1

I have a potential buyer located in California. Is anybody aware of any fun, extra-special requirements in California that would complicate his registration and licensing of my Oregon bike? I know this is occasionally an issue with some dirt bikes (49-State vs. 50-State versions), but don't...

    Fs: 2009 fz1

You're right. I should wait, and I probably will. But until 4/13, $5,750 will steal this thing!

    Fs: 2009 fz1

Bump. Price drop to $5,750 through 4/13 only. Leaving town on extended trip. Would like to sell prior to departure. After that, riding season will be starting for real, and I'll put it on the "big" sites at a higher price. Take this, one of you helpful forum members!

Bump. Priced right to sell fast! Less than 1,000 miles. $6,000!

Bump. Did the re-flashing idea fizzle out, Pete? Really had some high hopes for that approach.

    FZ1 ECU Tuning

Well shoot, this is kind of like I imagine it must be to fess up at an AA meeting, but I RIDE A STOCK FZ1 (whew, made it) and HATE band aid fixes, so I will be following this thread with great interest this fall and winter. Thanks for taking the plunge for the whole forum, Pete!

Not really a mod, well kinda... '10 ECU

I'd be in too at $300. Should know soon whether the '11 offers any further improvements over the '10. Considering Yamaha is the last carburetor holdout in the 250 MX class, I suspect money for upgrades is very tight, and they will leave the FZ1 ECU alone this year.

Not really a mod, well kinda... '10 ECU

Somebody younger and more internet-savvy than me needs to set up a group buy on these new ECUs. Times are tough at dealerships, and things are slow in the winter, anyway. Is it crazy to think you could get the price down to around $300 if you were purchasing in quantities of 10 or more? Just...

    First Service

Besides the stuff above, the biggest thing I found early on was the bike quickly developed a ridiculous amount of throttle cable slack. Easy to check, and easy to adjust right up by the throttle. I kept removing free play with the engine running until the idle sped up, the backed the adjuster...
