A couple of years back i had r1 -07 as a trackbike. I was a former superbike (sweden pro superbike) and the breaks was great. So, dont worry if the mc dosent do the trick go for different pads.. Here are a bad pic of my bike with r1-08 fork, its take with my mobilephone sorry..

Did fit an r1 -08 fork and a Nitron rear shock 2 weeks ago, but have no brakelines so havent tested it yet... But the Nitron Feels and looks lightyears better than the oem just holding it in your hand..

I have been waiting on my nitron rear shock for 4 weeks now, and came a cross this thread a week back.. So yesterday i bought a complete r1-08 fork with caliper, lines and mc. Purchased new wavediscs (china) to fit the caliper. Hope they are good.. I´m really looking forward to fit the front...
