R1 shifter Arms Great mod for just a little $. My shifting is much improved. Just bent the rod until it was centered in the frame opening.

Set the sag on the front to 30mm and the rear to 32mm. This was as close as I could get to 30mm on the rear with the adjustment notches on the shock. So, now it is time for the compression and rebound fine tuning.

Put on my R6 shock (Thanks Stretch) and my 130mm dog bones. The rear is greatly improved. Now to fine tune it. I'm in the ball park so it shouldn't take a whole lot of work.

Timing advancer Put my 4 degree advancer in Sat. Definately started quicker. Now as soon as you hit the starter button, the FZ is running instantly. It's almost like magic. Seemed like it improved throttle response slightly (A$s dyno); however, it was not as much improvement as the...

Looking for an 08 or newer R6 shock for a first generation FZ1 shock upgrade.

T Rex sliders Just put on a set on my 2005 FZ1. No problems with the install. Quality unit. Mine had the gold insert and were not tapered on the end. I like them.

I only didn't want to remove the carbs to do the RR carb mod. I was able to shim the needles with the carbs still on the bike. I am going to do the RR mod this winter when I am not riding. Just the simple shim helped the low end a lot.

Put on TRex frame sliders & did poor man's jet kit.

Good to know these are getting good reviews. I just ordered the frame sliders before reading these posts. Anybody know if the axle sliders will work with a first Gen FZ1??? From the pictures, it looks like they would work for all years.

delkevic I am also looking at this same exhaust. Anybody have and HP/Torque figures vs. stock? Was also wondering if anybody knew the weight of the stock exhaust?

suspension settings Thanks, Just got a new to me 2005 FZ1. I'm going to set the suspension to stock settings and go from there. What is the rear sag supposed to be set at. (I havent got a repair manual yet). My old bike's sag was 1.25".

New member to the site. Just picked up a CHERRY 2005 FZ1 with 3000 miles on the odometer. Looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. I think that I am really going to enjoy this new to me FZ1. Seems to be a good combination of handling & power. The 6 speed transmission is great...
