Here's my experience with my 08 clutch issue. When the engine oil was still warming up I would come to a normal stop and the clutch didn't want to disengage for about 3-4 seconds. I brought it back to the dealer and had them pull the clutch cover and look at the plates. (After some arm twisting...
I just started having this problem with my 08 at about 400 miles. Once the bike is warmed up after a few miles it is better but something doesn't seem right shifting from 1st. to 2nd.
You can get S100 at any cycle shop and most dealers. Make sure it is the wheel cleaner though. They make different cleaning washes. The wheel cleaner is a pump spray bottle, about $11.00.
Spray "S100" on alloy rims, rub with hands, let sit for 20 min. rinse, wash with warm soapy water, rinse. Like new. Black rims don't even worry about it.
Kidblooper, Sorry about your stress with dealing with this headache. I have no legal advice to offer. Only my opinion. The engine's these days are machined about as accurate as parts can be, so I think that there would'nt be hunks of metal shavings swirling around in your engine like a 1959...
When I'm going 65 mph my rpm's are about 4200, when I'm going 55 they are about 3500. This is in 6th gear and I'm wondering is this what you guy's are getting? Thanks
Two wheels, don't feel bad I always do something to my bikes that I wish I didn't do. It usually happens to em when their new also. Don't worry to much I'm sure everybody messes something up sooner than later. It usually amounts to no big deal.
Well I thought I'd give my impressions on my second ride. I just love this thing, so quick, smooth, light and handles with ease. I can see right now my speed discipline is something I must control better if I don't want a ticket. Its way way to easy to speed on this thing. On my harleys speeding...
Ya,today I went out and got a full face helmet and mesh riding jacket. I'll feel alot better going out the driveway having protected myself. I hope I will have the discipline to wear the helmet when its hot, I never use to wear one at all let alone a full face.
I would like to share my new experience with the forum. First off this is not a Harley bashing post, I've owned 2 Harleys in the last four years and had no issues whatsoever, the bikes were beautiful but for me they were boring to ride. I tried to love em but they were just nice to look at. Well...
