Adjusted the chain slack and took her for a ride in a nice downpour. My neighbors must have thought I was crazy when my FZ was warming up in the river that used to be my driveway :wtf:
I too was sucked into WoW in its beta stages. I stopped playing about 8 months ago though and not coincidentally lost 40lbs since and am now fitter than I was in HS. I love that game, but it just took too much of my time. I do have an addictive personality though.
For me, nothing beats running to lose weight. I'm 33 years old and 5'10". 9 months ago, I was 202lbs. So I started running 1-2 miles 3 days a week at a 10 min pace. Slowly, I started feeling better and ran further and faster.
Now I'm running 5-8 miles a day 5 days a week at a 6:45 pace...
I commute daily until the icy mornings hit. That gives me a good 9-10 months\year that I can ride to work. Most PNW wimps stop riding as soon as the rain hits which gives them a good 4 months a year. I find I actually get a little depressed when I cant ride to work.
Wow! I could have written this. All the bikes you considered AND your second choice in the 1125R are exactly what I considered. Wait...did I write this? :th_smiley_rotfl2[1]
Personally, I loved that lump in my old Buell Ulysses. For a rider like myself, I could give a rats ass about straight line speeds in everyday riding. But it was a very smooth and very reliable motor for long trips. Not to mention an awesome handling motorcycle. I am saddened by this news.
I decided against checking the setting on my way home. My decision came after rolling on in 6th gear and accelerating from 55 to 100 in a blink of an eye. This is NOT a mere 100hp bike.
I just cant imagine anyone "hating" on either the FZ-6 or the FZ-1. I've been riding a while and have NEVER heard anything bad about the bike(s). If its bashed on, it's a general hate of "Jap crap", or someone with a chip on their shoulder about motorcycles in general, but that rarely happens...
