My buzz turned out to be the relay holder. After extensive testing was the only thing that worked in my case. http://www.998cc.org/forum/gen-ii-tech/15646-buzz-killing-my-buzz.html
The volume difference is probably because of the impendence of the speakers(Ohm)It’s something like 22. If you don’t have a lot of speakers to play with, might be easier in the long run to pick up a new G9 base. They are backward compatible, minor speaker upgrade & kit comes with boom & wired...
Finally added OEM Sub cowl. Cheapest for me to bring up from Yamaha Sports Plaza. Even after shipping, duties & currency exchange…$160 less than Yamaha Canada.
Just my $0.5 Comfort Gel for quick availability. But knowing the roads up north, really could use a Top Sellerie seat to keep you planted :) But that could be a 6 week wait. I'm 6' @ 185lbs with boney ass. Stock botherd me after 80 min & Comfort gel about 4 hrs. TS... the day is over before the...
I would say that is a generally false statement. The National Driver Licensing Scheme (NDLS) has been adopted by all Australian jurisdictions.
I am absolutely not a licensing expert. However this seems to generally answer NSW Frequently asked questions (FAQs) < Demerit points scheme < Penalties...
Changed the oil, dropped the battery back in & started for the first time this season. Now to clean the chain.
Looking in a different perspective……..looks like I need a lower cowl :)
If I recall correctly, that’s a 10pin harness with 9 active wires. I tapped 1 for switched power to feed my gear indicator. Missing end of that connector disappeared into the bundle that wraps to left of battery. Unplugging killed my signals & 4 way flashers. Possibly headlight, but did not...
Guess I could set the idle to 5000RPM :)
Believe my particular buzz was right in front of eyes. After riding with the cone of noise off a few times…The 2 front relays (headlights?)
seemed securely mounted, but the coupler/clip allowed the relay to wiggle in plastic case.
I decided to...
LMFAO. That’s awesome :) Yes, single for 8 months & loving my 1st new house at 40!
Have 2 storage rooms in basement that takes garage offload.
Good reminder on hearing protection, my plugs are in 50%. Lately it’s the short city commutes in traffic & quick runs around the block that bring...
I did pull my key off the single ring previously. That is always a good one when it’s the case. However worth a revisit.
Also tested with/without tank bag. Could not notice with fairing off & only mirrors.
My vent was the single pin that shears when you pop out. Pulled 3 mini foam pieces out &...
Thanks for reply. I used some left over dynamat padding (not foil backed) all around where signal connectors & main harness for cluster are located.
Even made sure the signal & 4 way relays where not making noise on their mounts under fairing
So I have that nice plastic buzz at 4000 – 4500 RPM. Doing a search, I found all the obvious sources, but still missing something.
Can’t seem to locate the noise while riding. Aka pressing/touching various parts.
Here’s what I’ve done so far...
-pulled front fairing, removed vent & silicone...
Could it be the front pads? Try gently applying front to take up the slack when you hear the noise. Have noticed mine click a bit under the right circumstances.
This is an awesome International Community forum. Everyone jumps in to help when asked even if they get stones thrown back. It truly is an extended family. Well handled.
Hell, I’m new here with FZ1 & almost feel like I could stop by the busted knuckle garage with short notice & compare TS...
I vote it’s the Carbs. Dirty/Sticking floats or generally gummed up. Resolved this issue on a few buds rides. Failing that, ignition coil fits the dying when warm/hot.
