Just a heads up, in CA, I purchased an 07 FZ1 for 5,500 out the door from a BMW dealer. It had the gel seat, a vstream windshield, a $500 Scorpio alarm system, and only 1300 miles on the odometer. Essentially a brand new motorcycle. Some doof traded it in on a BMW 1000 cc sportbike.

If I am not mistaken, a previously owned out of state motorcycle, cannot be registered in CA if it has less than 7500 miles on the odometer. Either you or the buyer need to be certain of this requirement before you act, or someone is going to be sorry.

About spark plugs in the Gen 2. Manual says to replace at 8,000mi. Previous bike was a 2003 Honda CBR 954, changed the plugs at 35K when I adjusted the valves and the plugs still looked ok. Is there a replacement plug for the FZ1 that has more longevity? Jim R
