Jusy to put it out there , I have a fully Ivanized bike that is lowered 2 ' in rear and 1.5" in front on factory suspension and have no problems.

with him wanting first gear to run out further he has two options up in front ( in order to do that he has to grind on his case to make room)or down in the rear .sounds to me he does not want launches or fast take offs and if he goes down two in the rear it would be hard to take off so a happy...

why not go down one tooth in the rear ? you want a little taller first gear but dont want to slip the clutch to take off , going down one not really a big change but your rpms will show it

Just put the Yamaha chin fairing on . looks great and a lot cheaper than full lowers

I totally agree that you wont be disappointed with the FZ1 . I just want to state the facts about the FZ1 . It is an awsome bike in every area and with a few mods you can make it into whatever you like . My vote ....get the FZ1 and you will be pleased

not wanting to argue with the last statement but the fz1 does have the 04'R1 motor it also has a heavier crank , different cams , and computer . With that said i love my 07' FZ1 bought new last year and there are plenty pf mods out there to get 150+ rwhp out of this bike

i hope that things get better fast as well , but as i looked at the numbers i thought of two things . First is maybe they will find ways to get prices down and second.........Yamaha is on top of the charts for total sales:D

yes it works great , i was worried about it harming the paint or clear coat but had already started picking at them when someone suggested it that way to me:D

WD-40 and a hair drier. spray a small amount of the wd on then heat it a little then peel off i did al mine that way ...clean with wax of your choice ...

i dont know of any changes to the 09' but the 08' rwhp is like 128 stock

no way thats an fz1 with just those numbers and few mods . something is not right
