Thinking of a flatshifter (clutchless up shifts) or flatshifter pro (clutchless up and down). Anyone had any experience of these / any thoughts?
Thanks,
Andrew.
Hi.
I got the d221 stockers on my 09 plate. Feel a bit brick like, but do seem to heat up quite well, and I'm hardly Rossi in my riding lol. Any opinions on these / what to go for instead if it's worth changing? - would like something as sticky as poss, but that'll last a little while at least...
Hi,
Has anyone tried the above, or can recommend something similar (other than stomp grip, which I tried before and hated - didn't fit well imo and looked a bit unsightly)
Thanks for any feedback.
Andrew.
Well, it was a battle the like of which has not been seen since Kaiser Wilhelm got his knickers in a twist, but, in the end I beat that awesome pop rivet.
Admittedly it took nearly as long as a world war lol, but... I won lol.
Ripped the b*gger right out!!:thewave:
Nice neat little hole left...
:mad::mad:
Knew I was rubbish but bl**dy hell lol.
Am hoping that it's my drill / drill bits that are no good (can't be me after-all lol)
I'm using some new hss drill bits, and have splayed (? spelling) the rivet head and looks like I can see the centre of the rivet "neck" but it is still...
Hi.
Ok bit more info needed please.
Think poss my crappy 12v drill is a bit weak, but having probs drilling out the db killer rivet on the Mivv GP can. Started will 3mm then 3.5mm and think last was 4mm. Got a 5mm to try next., once drill recharged lol.The pin hole on the rivet head is now...
North Essex here. Still getting used to riding with one good arm and one with no shoulder movement after crash 2 years back. Loving the FZ1N so far - quite agressive manners imho (fast lol) but getting used to it bit by bit:):)
Cheers,
Andrew.
Bit late on this one!
Have you drilled the rivet / taken the baffle out? If so, how loud is the can (as in crazy loud, or just loud / deep) - thinking of drilling mine out, but bottled it so far.
Thanks,
Andrew.
Hi.
I have a Mivv GP style shorty can, with the db killer still in place (1 x rivet).
To remove the rivet - drill it out? (is this easy - I'm slightly disabled (knackered left arm and not very hands on?)
Does the db killer then just slide out / can be held back in place for MOT with a small...
Gonna try the wet sand route his week - ordered some 3000 and 2000 sandpaper. Soak 'em for a while first right?
Does this method dull the pipe badly, or still relatively easy to re-buff afterwards?
Thanks,
Andrew.
