Interesting to find this thread because I have had the exact same problem as some of you have described here and I have been using 91 octane since I purchased my FZ1. I will try using a lower octane fuel and see if that makes a difference. :dontknow:

So I got the R1 forks/calipers on my bike and a hyper pro shock I previously purchased. Everything feels great and the only problem was when the shop dropped my bike off of their lift, ouch. Not to much damage and they have offered to replace...
Hmmm I did find this post on these forums pertaining to the front axle. Anyone else know if this is accurate?
