May just do the oil changes on the side stand in future, sounds like the way to go, Thanks for all the helpful comments. As for the oil on the headers I usually fashion a foil V shaped funnel to catch any oil and direct it to the tray but that would be less of an issue on the sidestand.

Changed my oil with some lovely red coloured Castrol, after leaving the bike to drain the old oil for an hour and refilling with aforementioned Castrol did the usual run check and my lovely new oil is black again? Anyone flush their engine? if so how? with what? I can only assume that enough...

Painted them black, very pleased with the result.

Thank you all, I have a minor dent in my rear wheel, doesn't affect balance or feel any different, just exploring my options, repair or replace.

No ABS, I am more interested in the rear wheel.

Sorry if this has already been discussed but while I know that some later model R1 wheels fit my 09 FZ1, can anyone tell me exactly what model R1 wheels will fit? Thanks in advance.

+1 to that! FJR is a lovely looking bike in it's own right but I didnt buy an FJR.

Just received my Ebay light in the post today, smoked lens looks good and of a good quality, had a clear one on my last FZ and had no issues whatsoever but those motodynamics ones look cool with the modulating lights!

Nice bike! Liking the R1 colour gold wheels?

I would prefer originals, if my suggestion doesn't suit anyone then I'll just buy black ones or carbon aftermarket ones, which seem to be cheaper anyhow. I saw one guy trying to sell originals for 54.99 each!!!!!!!

Hi Guys/Gals I have a 09 FZ1 in graphite with a silver engine, it also has silver radiator scoops but I personally would prefer black ones. I wonder if anyone on here would like to swap? . It being the "off" season, I thought it would be a good time to do it. Thanks in advance Tommy

I quite like the popping on decel, scares the cage drivers ha ha.

Just bought the bike recently, good near new sbs pads on there, rang the guy I bought it off he said that there had been leaks from the fork seals, I am thinking pad contamination?, Thanks for the suggestions.
