Rubber lines flex, and even over time they can begin to crack and possibly leak. Braided brake lines don't flex, crack and if installed correctly don't leak. The thing about flex is that more fluid reaches where it needs to with less pressure on the bar. It's not an overly dramatic change, but...

It's not an FZ1, but I replaced the same type of upper cowling on my SV650S. I went with OEM just because I've rarely heard about proper fitment with anything other than that. The cowl also came with the stickers already on. It'd be such a kick in the balls to spend that money and have to...

I was always a fan of the Vesrah RJL pads I had on my SV650S. Good lord, with braided lines that bike stopped better that it had any business stopping, given it's master cylinder size. They are pricey, though. :(

Set TPS and voltage on PC V yesterday and found that my diagnostic tool only recognizes my throttle up to 90. :( Will tinker with that this week/weekend.

The PC shows the bike at 0% throttle while warm idling at 1250rpm, it goes to 1% at 1600rpm and it indicates 100% when I rev that high and/or toggle switch off, on, then WOT. It's not big deal if it stays at 90 (instead of 95-100 like it's supposed to be) but I figured I'd ask. I brought up the diagnostic for the bike and my closed throttle number is 16. (Good, supposed to be between 15-18), but my open throttle is only at 90. What could cause this? Short of...

Kinda glad it hasn't sold. :p It's on my short list for late Feb/March. I will say, though, that dealers are going really low on this bike. Ye Gods, $6400 for a 2014 in Latrobe, Pa (25 miles from my house)?! ($6300 for a 2014 from a place in OH) Of course, after stealership fees, tax etc...
