2007 Hyosung GT250r

She is a natural. She instinctively grabbed the front brake to keep the bike from rolling. Only lessons so far were finding neutral and starting/stopping the bike.

Votex bar ends installed. I had to modify them slightly. The bolts that came with them were to small. I had to buy some 8mm hex head bolts and the heads were to big to recess inside the bar end. So I drilled out the bar end a bit with a 1/2" bit so the head of the bolt would recess properly.

Brad:

Sounds great. Also, have you seen the latest review of the Kymco Quannon 150 in Motorcyclist this month?

Probably interesting reading for someone playing with entry level bikes, just for comparison.

Enjoy.

On another note. No lessons for the wife this weekend as I am leaving Houston at noon on the FZ1 to head to Lafayette Louisiana to ride with a buddy this weekend. He just got his endorsement last week and bought a Harley Sportster 1200. There is really nothing to see between here and there and it is very much a straight line ride with little other options. There are however some very colorful people and places in East Texas and LA so I am sure I will manage a few photos.

Mirrors

So here are the shots with the mirrors (and one gratuitous one with other stuffs.) What do you think? They are growing on me but I want something a little more "cool" than this. At least this will keep her safe while we are training.

Pazzo clone levers mounted. Pics tomorrow.

P.S. My buddy rode it Sunday while I was on my FZ1. Went 60 miles or so and got the Hyo well past 100 miles on the ODO finally. Thing ran great! I think he was pegging it at 11,000 rpms the whole time. I was surprised to see him right behind me a few times.

Looking sweet Brad. Aren't those knockoffs nice! I love my shorties.

The brake lever fit perfect. I had to grind off some of the rear part of the clutch lever for it to have smooth action. It was catching and would not return to it's at rest position. Fortunately everything I ground off is hidden.

The new mirrors look great Brad. It may just be the angle of the camera but you may want to loosen the license plate and bring the "right side" up a hair as it looks off a bit. I know, call me "anal" but it was bothering me looking at the photo and seeing it out of alignment with the rest of the tail section. I'm getting really bad in my old age. The bike looks awesome with everything done. Keep the flame job on it. It goes well with the bike.

I was looking at my new photos of the mirrors scratching my head trying to figure out what the heck you were talking about. I had to scroll up a bit to the old photos! I see what you mean! Consider it done.

P.S. Sherry has still not done a single training session with me. I promised I would not pressure her and I am not. though I may cancel the insurance for now.

Thanks Bud! I wouldn't worry about Sherry. She'll be on her ride soon enough.

Believe it or not, after all my hard work, it looks like I will be selling the Hyosung. My wife quit her job today (with my blessing) due to a tyrant of a boss. I am cutting back on everything we can in preparation for some rough times ahead.

If she finds something in the next few weeks and have not sold it we will keep it.

Will post it up in the next few days.
