FZ1 Dyno tuning

Well I took my FZ1 to have it Dyno tuned by Ryan Schnitz racing today and everything went smooth Ryan was very professional and explained what he was doing along the way. I did not get a before Dyno chart because Ryan explained to me it was better on the engine to tune the bike through the rpm range and then do a WOT dyno pull in case the Air/Fuel ratio was off. I was pleased with my tuning experience as the dyno was known to read low and not inflated like most around the area, the graph shows a nice smooth incline in power all the way to the redline. The AFR's were right around 13.1 to 13.2 after he was done tuning, before any of the fuel changes it was around 12.1 12.5 Ryan said the basic re-flash from Vcyclenut was pretty close it just needed fine tuning to lean the bike out a little bit. He said most flashes he has seen are all over the place and this was not so that was good to know $85 dollars well spent. I rode the bike home and all I can say it was money well spent the bike wheelies with ease with a twist of the throttle and pulls to redline hard. It honestly feels like a completely different bike and it has more grunt down low. Anyway on to the chart and Dyno video.

I would have thought that the basic VCyclenut flash with your mods would have been a bit lean, not on the rich side.

Good info - thanks! I'm running David's basic flash as well, and found it was well-worth the $85 bucks. He even corrected my speedometer...

Were you running premium fuel during the dyno session?

Yes I was running 93 octane fuel, I also had David change my ECU for the 16T front sprocket change and gave him a list of mods. I was happy with Vcyclenut basic reflash but knew from having many cars tuned by email and on the dyno that it was better, quicker and easier to have it dialed in on a dyno. Most tunes that you get through email or through a reflash will be close but will either run rich or to lean and would take multiple tunes with a way to read AFR's to get it dialed in perfect. My experience with Ryan Schnitz was quick; 1hr of tuning the fuel. I wasn't worried about how much power the bike actually made because I know every dyno reads different. I just wanted it to perform at an optimal level.

kinda bs on the no baseline but, overall everything looks solid, proper graph, proper afr, proper numbers. bike must be a dream to ride now!

The bike runs way better and my gas mileage picked up also, the last fill up I got 35mpg on 93octane fuel and that was with some spirited riding. I am very happy with the way it turned out and would recommend Ryan Schnitz racing to anyone that was looking for a good tuner. I walked in his shop he was working on a 500hp nitrous Busa and a 700+hp turbo busa. I should have taken some pictures of the all the bikes that were in there but didn't think about it.
