Ok..this past Saturday my wife was bored so we went for a ride. Well of course with me behind the wheel,we ended up at the motorcycle shop. I went there with only browsing around in mind. I swear I had no intentions of really "wanting" anything. It started off with the typical looking around at what's new and what's on sale. Then I saw it..The shiny blue 2012 Kawasaki ZX-1400R!! I felt myself being drawn to it like I was being dragged by the Force! Next thing I know my Arse was planted on the seat and I was giggling like a virgin being touched for the first time. I think I sat on that bike for a good 10 minutes. The salesman just sat there glancing at me and grinning. He came over and says "She's nice isn't she" uhhhhh YEAH!! I exclaimed. Of course at that point the salesman in him kicked in and he wanted to start the paper work. LOL. At that point I got the evil eye from the wife and I knew it was out of the question. She told me I wasn't allowed to get another bike until I pay off the FZ1. Now I find myself being torn. I love my FZ1 but I REALLY want that ZX-1400R. I am trying to figure out how I can keep the FZ and still get the ZX. More than likely though I will have to end up selling the FZ if I do get the ZX only because for 1 will have to use the money as a down payment and 2 I know for sure I won't be able to afford the insurance on both bikes.

I was at the Kawa house the other day getting a tank pad....saw the bike your talking about...I did not sit on it but sure wanted to......man its nice....but I also looked at a 09 B-King and man I don't think there is anything out there that compares to it....can't understand why they stopped making them....My FZ1 is plenty of bike for me; but if there is another one in my future its going to be a Suzuki B-King used and not abused....lol..
I owned a 02 FZ1 like you got and it was also one fine bike....

I do that almost every weekend. Was close to getting the Anniv Edition R1 until progressive told me what the insurance a year was going to be $2000+ a year. I was like bummer :(, that's not happening. I cant imagine what it'll be for the ZX14. Im 38 with no riding tickets so, yeah no real sportbike for me unless I pay cash and just get liability.
My local store has the blue and the Green. Saw them both this past weekend. At 118lbs soaking wet, I'm a mismatch for that and the Busa

So did you take it for a test ride :D I'm sure that new ZX-14 is one mean machine. I'll be test riding one in a few weeks (and no I have no intentions of getting it).

Every part of me wanted to take it for a ride. But I knew that if I did that I would be doing paper work as soon as I came back. That would have lead me to Divorce court and Alimony..LMAO!

Yeah dude thats my old rig. Traded her in for my 2010, and the tech bought it on the spot. The bike never went for sale. He put on the bar ends and removed the ZG Double Bubble I had on there and then that is how you got it. ;)

I only know this stuff for a fact becasue I have run into the tech who bought it about 4 times now at a Dunkin Donuts in Scituate.

That's why I own more than one bike, as I can't have more than one wife. Well I can but the last one cost me about $500,000 and I'm still paying. Motorcycles are sooo cheap in comparison.

A Bking or a ZX14 --- Are you guys on drugs? Do you even know why you ride? Wouldn't you feel great going to a twistie somewhere and having a kid make you look stupid on a 600? Of course, if you could pay a little extra and get a super stretch swing arm, then everyone would know it's just a straight line bike and the pretense would be over.

The Can Am's are pretty cool too --- you don't even have to balance the bike and the wife has a nice skinny seat to sit on. I wonder if you can get a stretched swing arm for one of those?

So many decisions.

Not all people on Busas and Zx's are posers and put the chrome swing arms and huge rear tires on the bikes. Just so you know.

Also, they do handle better than you may think (the not stretched and lame ones). But I don't pretend to know your experience like how you seem to know everyone elses.

CrazyJoe you smoking crack man...a 600 would not even see a B-King's taillights much less keep up with one in the twisties...lol...nor would it see the Zx's taillights....

No way....Look at my photos; I owned one, there dangerous as is gets....no cornering at all...lol.....don't even want to get on a max on a windy day....man you can nearly lick the road on a B-King; I got a friend owns one in McKinney Tx......great cornering bike, heavy but sure footed.....

You do know a RC51 is nothing but a road block anyway? hehe

I'm sure your R6 is pretty fast. We might be planning a ride where you could show me?

Now that would be FUN! The roads in the SE look to be great.

I'm interviewing for a job in NC on Thursday so this might actually happen.
