Electrical help - fuse requirements

Hi all

I am a new owner of a 2006 FZ1, which I absolutely love. I am looking to add a dash cam with USB power, but am conscious that getting it wrong can be dangerous, let alone difficult to diagnose.

I will be putting in an inline fuse, relay, and a distribution block. I have two main questions:

1- Do I need another fuse on the device side of the distribution block
2- the bike will be regularly connected to a tender. Will that blow the inline fuse, or require such a high amp fuse that it won't protect the circuit when not on the tender? Any other considerations?

Sorry, I can offer no help whatsoever. How about a free bump?

I would definitely use a large amp fuse to the block and another smaller amp between the block and the device. I suggest using a relay to only power the block when the ignition is on. Google motorcycle fuseblock for the best options. I use an FZ1 fuseblock.

Thanks guys. The block I am using is a simple unfused distribution block, but the circuit will be fused when I'm done with it.
