Aftermarket slip-on

Hi everybody,

I'm new to forum, so howdy! I picked up a 2010 FZ1 about a month ago with only ~5300 miles on the odo (yay). I got the bike for a steal too. I'm looking at swapping the stock can for a new slip-on.

Will there be any issues if I just swap the can out (IE bike runs lean, loss of backpressure with exhaust valve removal)? I've been reading so many differing opinions on this topic. Should I get a PC at the same time?

Thanks!

no issues at all, just take the Exup cables out and bolt the new one on.

you can do a PCV at the same time if you want to, but it isn't needed to simply put an aftermarket can on.

Thank you for responding. Do I need to get a servo buddy? I'm not entirely sure what to do with the servo motor once the cables are disengaged and removed.

Again, it's entirely up to you. You can save a poofteenth of extra weight by removing it.
I left mine attached to the bike. The servo motor works in ignorant bliss, oblivious to the fact that there are no cables attached to it.
It's been like that for the past 8 years.
