Thread: slight missfire

    Default slight missfire

I have a 2008 gen 2 FZ1, I have owned it for 3 years, always regularly serviced, never missed a beat until recently.
I have clocked up 24,000 untroubled miles, but just recently I have noticed a very slight missfire, just as you pull away, low revs, just for a second or two the bike missfires..then runs clean again.
doesn't always happen, just once in a while..always just as you pull away from the kerb.
Baffled..could it be a coil breaking down?... there are some threads on here.. but this is only a slight intermittent missfire.. not a real problem..but bloody annoying.

Hi mine suffered the same for some time , eventually it developed a complete failure on cylinder one which turned out to be a coil, the annoying little miss has now gone,, I did also notice when I first serviced the bike that water had got into no1 plug viod too ,
    Cheers Delbert

    Tell it like it is
