Default Mirrors Question (Nut is stuck)

    Evening guys.

First off, new to the forum so hello all, picked up a 2007/08 FZ1N with 15k on it a few weeks back! Love it but Iím not a fan of the standard mirrors in stainless! Do not suit the bike, went to take them off but the right hand mirror is stuck, the nut is slightly rounded and I couldnít get to it with a spanner, it gripped but slip, but then I heard it might be the opposite to the left hand to loosen??? Right turn to loosen instead of left, is this right? I want to know before getting some grip pliers on it.

    Thanks in adnavce.

The right mirror has a left handed thread, so you are probably going the wrong way.

You need to turn in a clockwise direction to loosen.

and the answer to a rounded nut like that with a low torque setting is vice grips. before that though, try a deep socket
