I believe it was a Yamaha accessory, it has the tuning forks logo on it...It's available if you're interested, shipping from Canada might be the only problem. Selling my bike as no one I used to ride with has a bike anymore and I've lost interest.
Another little update...Playing with PlastiDip again..We'll see if I keep it, so far I'm liking the color...It's different...And blue LED's behind the gauges now, as well as all the indicator lights...The hot spots don't actually show up like the pic shows though. Still have the 15/47 SuperSprox...
Thanks! It was actually really simple, probably about a half hour worth of work. Now just gotta get some nice LED's behind them and that'll be complete.
So like everywhere else, this winter's been awfully long...The mod bug bit me a little bit again, so I decided to try my had at some PlastiDip among other things...I'm real happy with the outcome, and definitely love the new gauge faces...Painted lots of the last remaining silver parts that...
In that same article in Cycle Canada, it also said there would have to be geo-fences set up for things like track days, and dual purpose bikes...So rates wouldn't be affected...Still hate the idea, guaranteed to kill the sport if it comes to fruition

I know I'm bumping an old thread, but if anybody's doing some searching it'd be good to have. I put on some RSI Racing bars on my 1st Gen, and have to say I love the feel and position of them. They're 1.5" rise and almost no pull back, a bit more forward and aggressive riding position, but not...
The stuff in that thread is mostly GEN2 specific
I was wondering about this mod as well actually...What change to compression actually happens, and whether or not its safe to use with a timing advancer as well as what modifications should be done to complement the higher compression ratio.
Didn't do anything yet, just ordered parts though.
Rear tire hugger
AIS removal kit
Timing advancer kit
Parts for carb tuning
Bar end mirror adapters
New bars/grips
I think thats it for now...Now just gotta wait for this snow to melt so I can get to my bike and start the work!
