    The 'Far East' of Canada

I also had a '75 550 Four. It was a fun bike to throw around. The only thing I hated was the centerstand; it had an aftermarket 4 into 1 pipe that left no ground clearance when you were flipping to the right. There were a few times I'd be playing around in a parking lot and throw it right, only...

'08 FZ 1 LeoVince GPPRO EVOII SS

It's a cool looking pipe, but I think it would look better on a concept/project bike. To me, it just has real "Road Warrior" look to it, that doesn't quite fit with the lines of an otherwise stock bike. Though I agree that a matte black version would work.

    Who got out today?

Didn't get a chance to ride, but it was for a good cause. A friend bought an 03 GS yesterday, so I was doing "follow home in the car" duty. Today, though, we'll be hunting some new roads. Nothing major - I'm guessing we'll just pick a direction and go. Monte

    people hating on the fz...

Agreed. I really like the way the FZ's engine looks sitting in the black frame. It's almost as sexy as the Vmax; I've always loved the styling of the Vmax's engine. LOL I bought my first bike years ago from a guy who had bought it six months earlier without telling his wife; he was keeping...

Noob with questions... Just bought a 2002 FZ1

Belated congrats on your purchase, Zach! Looks like you and I became Gen1 owners about the same time. You mentioned swapping the stock footpegs for Buells. I was wondering if you ever made the change? (Or, has anyone else?) If so, how did it go? Did you use XB9's? Thanks!

    Highway Pegs

I really like the idea of using the FZ6 pads. Right now I'm looking for ways to get a little more legroom without losing too much ground clearance. I'd also love to avoid spending the $500 for either new rearsets or a new seat if possible (at least until after I get a pipe for it). Anyone...

    eBay seller zgoutlet

I bought a Zero Gravity DB from this seller about a month ago. They sell factory seconds of Zero Gravity windscreens. I got my screen quickly (considering shipping cross-country) and the screen looks great! I have not been able to find a flaw. They seem to sell most of their screens for @$50...

    Windscreen question

I'm guessing the wind is directed to your neck area and chin? It sounds like the stock screen would help by directing it more toward your chest, which would probably be much less distracting.

Best Tinted Standard Height W/S for 1st Gen

I got mine (in light smoke) on Ebay from ZG Outlet about a month ago. They sell factory seconds of the Zero Gravity line. I was a little worried about getting a factory second, but apparently Zero Gravity has pretty strict QC; neither my roommate nor I were able to find a flaw. It was on sale...

Best Tinted Standard Height W/S for 1st Gen

Definitely a change in both. For comparison, I am 6' tall, with a fairly long torso for my height (31" inseam). With the stock screen, riding in a neutral body position, the wind seemed to be directed to my neck area. It was irritating and noisy as the wind came up into the helmet from the...
