Opinion on PCV maps for my 2010 FZ1

Thank you for your recommendation. I will definitely look into that. I know my coworker got his ECU flashed by Ivan and said the exact same thing as you for his FZ07.

Yamaha soft saddle bags (sw mototech blaze)

I got my saddlebags used and only the hardware and liners came with it. I don't have any marks/scuffs from the bags. you can always try the clear vinyl or use some fine bubble wrap to add protection.

What did you do to your FZ today?

Over the past couple of weeks, I changed the coolant to Bel-Ray after flushing the radiator, installed NGK Iridium spark plugs, put in a lithium featherweight battery and replaced all of the brake pads. I also put on an aftermarket rear seat that is more comfortable according to my girlfriend...

    Stator or Rectifier? Please Help

Hi, Rectifiers usually go bad before a stator does. I would check the connection between the stator and rectifier also in case it is burned out (happened to me on my VFR800 I had). My first thought would be to change the rectifier and see if the problem goes away. If it does not, I'd say the...

    Pirelli Angel ST tires

Hi Dustin, These tires I received were made just last year, so I wouldn't call them that old. I have heard good and bad about the GT spec. I may go for them next.

    Pirelli Angel ST tires

Hey there my fellow FZ1 friends, I just recently had a set of Pirelli Angel ST tires put on my 2010 FZ1 and I definitely would recommend these tires in heartbeat. One note is that I did change the rear size from a 190/50 to a 190/55. For me, the handling has dramatically improved and the...

    Low RPM issue? SOS

You can also check your idle speed adjustment screw on the left side of the bike. I had to increase my idle RPM about 100 which is now at around 1100 RPMs. I've had no issues after that.

    New to fz1

Hey there, The exhaust that you posted is from Scorpion. Very good company as I had Scorpions on my 2002 Honda VFR 800A (6th Gen).

    need racefit growler map

I have found out that you need to try different maps and see which one works best for you. I have a full yoshimura TRC exhaust, blue bros air filter (virtually a K&N), and blocked the AIS hose. It all depends on where you live and what you like. That is the fun of owning a power commander...

Gen II sprocket side wear: running out of ideas

I don't think the rear wheel and clutch hub is the problem. This may be a stupid question, but are you using the correct pitch for your chain and sprockets? Could you make a spacer between the engine shaft and sprocket (in other words to bring the sprocket out a little)? I know there is metal...

Gen II sprocket side wear: running out of ideas

You could try to get a front sprocket that has the rubber insert/padding as that may correct the alignment. My guess is that the front sprocket is smaller in terms of thickness when compared to the OEM sprocket. I could be wrong, but I'd check and see. If not that, back to the drawing board.

    Finally have the FZ1!

Here is a little review of my impressions after riding the FZ1 gen II for a couple hundred miles and how it compares to the 6th gen. VFR800. The FZ1 begs to be ridden fast and I am not as tired after a long ride. I love the power delivery, however the VFR had very usable power throughout. In...

    New member welcome thread...

Hello, My name is Chad. I just recently got a 2010 FZ1 in candy apple red. This is my third motorcycle. The first bike I owned was a 2003 Ducati Monster 620 i.e. Dark. I then upgraded to a 2002 Honda VFR800A VTEC. I work as a reliability and sample technician for a company that...

Yoshimura TRC stainless steel full exhaust installed

Hi all, I just got my full yoshimura TRC exhaust on my 2010 FZ1. I love the way it looks and how it sounds. I definitely noticed an immediate gain in the mid and top range. One side note is that the low-end delivery is a bit jumpy, but nothing severe. I'm sure that can be fixed with some...
