2003 FZ! 30k miles. Its on the left side crankcase area. It almost sounds like a chain running over a gritty chain guide or a dirty loose chain going over a sprocket, but really loud. Could it be a bearing inside the case going bad?
It seems to do it during certain conditions. What I mean by...
Yeah, it has 25k on it. Not really sure if the fluid has ever been replaced. What the best way to bleed after replacing the fluid?

See I thought it was heat too, but I just got doing a 150 mile ride with no issues. Plus, before this happened my bike sat parked for a good 30 minutes.

03 bumble. I replaced my rear pads about 1000 or so miles ago. I was riding down a mountain road the other day and my rear brake lever started getting a little spongey. Didn't think anything of it. I get a few miles farther and I lose all pressure in my rear brakes. I pushed on the lever as far...
I changed my rear tire and decided to use a caliper to make the difference. I zeroed one side and the other measures out to .54mm. I am finding it difficult to make both sides 0. Will .54mm mess anything up?

The alignment was pretty spot on. I bought a micrometer a while back and will use it next time I get a tire changed, which should be within the next few hundred miles
I've had this problem with my current FZ and my KLR. It seems everytime I reinstall the rear tire, and place the chain slack to spec, my chain/sprocket combo wear out. Is this because the grooves in the sprocket teeth are now correspnding with a different part of the chain that it wasn't making...
Nevermind. A little googling helped answer my search question.
So, what advantages are there of doing a stiffer rear for a guy like me? I'm in the process of trying to get back down to 220 - 230 so is it worth waiting or should I respring now?
The front end is already resprung from the PO. I couldn't tell you what kind, its has a blue center and is stiff as hell. As for the rear spring, I know nothing about how I would search for it or even where to ask. Any ideas?
