Recently picked up a 05 FZ1. I haven't rode it a ton but it seems to be fairly quiet even with a Hindle slip on. A guy at work was saying you can cut the slip on down by a couple inches to get a little more sound out of it. Just want to see if anyone has done this? and if its worth doing...

Great thanks guy! Another issue. I wasnt able to ride the bike when i bought it because of snow but now i put it into gear with the clutch in and it stalls. I tried 1st and 2nd gear and it stalls :/ Im thinking it could be the clutch? Whats the procedure for clutch lever adjustment?

Ok, I think I will be ok for this year then. Have to see how much riding I do. I am definitely not afraid to tear into it, I thought that the rads, fairing, intake etc all has to be taken off to check the valves. Maybe I will do it mid season if it gets a little noisy. I work on my 400ex atv...
