I don't know why I left for so long. I'm having error code 19 that I need to get fixed, and then I need new chain, sprockets, valve adjustment, new tires and an oil change and filter. Then I should be ready to ride. :)
Welcome. Glad to have you here. I was able to ride some of the northern GA roads 2 years ago and loved it. What a beautiful area. I really enjoyed Blood Mountain. I think you will find the Gen II FZ1 a good all around sporty bike with some comfort, well, maybe after a seat change. Good...
I know this thread is a few months old now, but I am also having trouble with the error code 19. I will check all the connections under the tank and add the dielectric grease to see if it solves the issue. Any special way to clear the code? I've just been pushing the "Reset" button to clear it.
Holy crap, FZ1inNH will be Cobalt, then FZ1inNH again and then FZ1inTX. So confusing. Good luck with the move. Now I have no east coast haven... LOL. I'd love a TX meet up.
Glad to have you here! No center stand? Did you have it removed? I find it very handy. Nice looking bike. Black is always a good choice, but the blue is faster. ;)
I would love to ride in OR, but that's over 2100 miles for me one way. I just did 3000 miles to Sturgis, SD around and back home in a week. I'm feeling the effects.
I'm also sad to hear about all the cancer. It's such a devastating disease.
I have considered a WR250R for a long time. The price is steep for what it is, but there is no other bike that matches it's capabilities. I've wished for a WR450R (street legeal version) for sometime, but it has...
I returned from Sturgis after 8 days and 3000 miles. I ate a chain (still need new sprockets) and lost a 2nd coil in less than a year. Expensive repairs on the road, but poop happens.
I'm thinking about Spiegler from Sport Bike Track Gear
Oops, that was a link for the Gen II. i didn't see it was a Gen I reference. Here's the Spiegler link for the Gen I.
My 2007 FZ1 is around 26,000 miles (about 40,000 km) and still on original plugs. I plan to have them changed when I get the valves adjusted. I haven't decided on standard or iridium yet either. I think I'll just go standard. I don't really see a big advantage. Valve adjustments are every...
Yesterday I changed the oil and finally put HH brake pads on all around. SS brake lines are next. The front pads were getting thin after 26,000 miles. I need to get the valves adjusted, but that will have to wait a bit. I'm preparing to ride to Sturgis with a 3 other friends. It's the same...
