    Default Bridgestone T30 EVO

    Hello guys and yes it's been a while since I last posted.
    My question is, have any of you tried the new T30 Evo?
    I've had plenty of fun on the T30's and yet again it's time for new rubber. I'm told the T30 is no longer available and the Evo is the new generation..
    I'm getting the T30 Evo this Saturday but I'd like to hear your views please.

    I've not tried the Evo but am a big fan of the regular T30. By all accounts, it's better in every way. I wouldn't hesitate to run them.

    Post up a review when you get some miles on them!

    Why not go to the BT023? I preferred the BT023 over the T30 and will possibly go back to those when it is time again to change tires.

    I think the T30 is just sportier than the 023 while still offering great all weather grip. I have a new set of 023 in my garage for when I change tires closer to the winter time but if all things were equal, I'd pick the T30 Evo. It suits my use a bit more.

    I had no hesitation buying the 023 with the $50 rebate offered at the time.

    Smile Bridgestone T30 EVO

    First - my riding style is average. I don't thrash it everywhere. I've never had my knee down or scraped a peg - but I do ride it like a litre bike when conditions allow.

    I replaced my BT023 with the T30 Evo earlier this year as i'd lost confidence in the rear tyre. It was sliding out wide on roundbouts (I live in the UK) - which are usually fairly low speed - and on faster bends, leant over more (I aint a knee down merchant btw) - it was even worse.

    Under hard acceleration it was squirreling about as well - which had never happened before. It had squared off slightly with approx 3k miles - which I don't think excessive.

    I can't compare them to any other manufacturers as I've always used Bridgestone - BT016 / BT021 / BT23 / T30 Evo

    The reason being that 1) I've had no problems 2) It's an expensive mistake if you don't like your new rubber 3) Nobody makes bad tyres these days

    So what do I think of them? To be honest, best tyres I've ever had. After scrubbing in, I felt more confident everywhere. My lean angles increased. Acceleration caused no issues. I've ridden in rain & didn't think too much about it - I slowed down anyway as I always do in wet conditions.

    I've done more Motorway /Freeway miles than ever this year, & the dual compound harder middle seems to work.

    Would I recommend them? Absolutely. I'm doing a track day next week (Ron Haslam Race School) & all his bikes are fitted with them. (Honda CBR600RR / CB1000RR)

    Unless Bridgestone bring out an improved tyre, then I won't hesitate to replace them again with another set of T30 EVO.

    Hi there, I also live in the Uk nth london. I do ride fairly hard and have used many tyres from most manufacturers. I used to like the old 010's then the 016 but I did burn them out fast hence going to the sport touring tyres. The T30's have been good and once warmed up I've never had a problem thrashing the bike. It's time for new rubber and your feedback on the new Evo has made me loose my worries. I've been getting about 4K from the T30's let's hope the Evo does as well then I'll be happy. I have heard it's better all round. I always warm my tyres up with about 10-15 miles of cautious riding before I let rip. As you do ha. Cheers

    I probably have around 1500 klms left on my T30's so that would make around 10K klms on them all up which is excellent.
    They have never let me down and they have excellent dry weather grip. (I've never tried them in the rain)
    I've been really happy with the T30's so I'm hoping the T30 EVO's are even better.
    I'm also tossing up the idea of going to the S21's as they say they have good mileage for a Hypersports tyre.

    So I have the rear Evo now fitted. I can tell you this from only doing 20-30 miles. It feels great with lovely roll in on the bends and much softer too to ride on. The road was wet and yet it felt grippy and that's without scrubbing it in. I'll give it another 60-75 miles before I can really let you know and report. So far so good though. My front tyre a T30 feels good with it even though I'm changing that too this time next month... pay day..! I only have 2.5mm left on the front so I'm going to put the Evo on the front too. New rubber feels great and even better after a good scrub in eh? Ok I will report back on my feelings about the evo soon. Thanks guys for your posts on the T30 Evo.

    A positive review like that almost makes me regret buying that set of BT-023 I got with the rebate! Then again, they were only $150 CAD after the rebate cards.
