Problem with diagnostic mode, need help!

Hi everyone,
I am driving Fazer 1000 naked, 2007 and I need some help. I have noticed that the fule consuption is vary high. So I asked arround and it turned out that the previous owner tampered with values in diagnostic mode. Since I am new to this I don't even know what these values are. I will put the values here and ask anyone who konws something about that, and what the values should be.
When I eneter diag mode I can choose between two values, d01 and Co.
Here are the values for d01
01 15
02 100
03 100
05 42
06 83
07 0
08 0.6
09 12.4
20 off
21 off
30 00
31 00
32 00
33 00
36 00
37 00
38 00
39 00
48 00
50 00
51 00
52 00
53 0
56 0
60 00
61 30
62 1
63 00
70 0

and the values for Co

C:01 7
C:02 11
C:03 11
C:04 7

Please help me with this. Tell me what these values are and what should be the basic values as in factory settings.

THanks

The only values I see that indicate something unusual are the 61/30 and the 62/1. I find the manual difficult to follow but I think the 62/1 means there's one (1) history of a fault code and it looks like the 61/30 means the lean angle sensor went off. I don't think values can be changed in diagnostic mode..only the condition of the fuel/ignition/sensor system monitored.
The 01 is throttle position sensor and should read 15-18 with throttle closed...you're at 15.
02 & 03 are atmospheric and intake pressure readings.
05 is intake air temp, 06 is coolant temp.
07 is speed sensor, 08 is lean angle sensor and "upright" readings are 0.4-1.4
09 is battery voltage...12.4 is good.
The rest are various safety switches like "side stand" and "in neutral".

I have no idea what the C:01, 02, 03, 04 readings are but am guessing it's something about "cylinder 01,02,03,04"... maybe injector pulse settings of some sort?

Found this with a Google search (FZ1 CO diagnostic)... http://www.g-mac.net/fjr1300/gen_2_fjr1300_bjm.pdf
It's from a Yamaha FJR forum but enlightens as to what the CO readings are about. Basically, the higher the number the richer the cylinder is set to run. Looks like a very involved process changing the CO settings but it would be interesting to compare other FZ settings as the FJR and R1 groups mention a variety of configurations.

I thought that that was the case, but I am afraid to temper with the values cause dont know what would be the consequeces. Thanks for this, very useful.:banghead:

Very interesting that it also works on the FZ1,
My reading for each cylinder is,
C:1 -5
C:2 20
C:3 20
C:4 2

What are others set to across the world? lets compare.:flash:
It would also be interesting to know if the C: 01, C: 02 are firing orders or from left to right cylinders.

I'll be sure to post my findings next time I lift the tank. I wonder if using a Power Commander throws these settings out the window...or do the CO settings also alter the PCIII percentages?

CO:1-4 readings of little use.

I asked at another FZ forum if anyone had knowledge of these settings and got a response from Ivan. I know of his expertise in performance tuning and knows what he's talking about. Ivan said these numbers affect closed throttle settings and very small throttle openings only and is best to just leave them alone.
It would be interesting to see how much these settings vary between several FZ's as a reference in case someone had been in and messed around prior to getting a pre-owned machine. Anyway...I'll post mine sometime.

What are other peoples settings I'm concerned that mine is incorrect, having a minus in there,
Even with a power commander connected it should still work and you should beable to get the settings out of the bike, It is really easy to do.....

Tell me how and where to get these values and I'll check and post mine .

You can reset the trouble codes that have been set in #61 by going into #62 and toggle the engine stop switch on the handlebar. If you need to see them again do the same thing in #63.

Tell me how and where to get these values and I'll check and post mine .

Hold down your two buttons on the display (select & reset),
Turn the key and keep holding until the display changes(about 10 secs).
Then toggle right or left button between D1 & Co,
While Co is displayed hold down both buttons again until c:01 is displayed.
Toggle up or down with display buttons from c:01 to c:04.
To display numbers corresponding to each c: number, hold down both buttons again & the number will show up on the right side of the screen.
To go back, again hold down both buttons and C: will appear again,
To get back out without changing anything, just turn the key off,

Hope this helps.
