Miss fire

On my ride out last Sunday the engine would hesitate as though the kill switch was being flicked. It was always between 6&7k revs, above & below that it was fine. Has anyone else had this problem, or could tell me where to start. It is an '06 with 40,000ks on the clock & an FCE unit only. Thanks in advance.

First step, check to see if the bike has any codes. If you dont know how then use the search feature I know the process has been explained.

I would suspect a few things first that are fairly common

Loose connection on the FCE failing FCE

Bad TPS sensor

Bad coil

Failing Sub throttle servo motor

Kinked fuel line

Thank you for the advice, I don't think the fuel line is kinked as the tank has not been raised for some time & the previous owner has zip tied a stiff rubber sheath around the fuel line. I will check the other points out. Regards.
PS no codes showing.
